Fire Alarm & Suppression System Supply & Installation – Ferrari Showroom (Riyadh Branch)
The project aims to supply, install, test, and commission an integrated fire suppression and fire alarm system for the Ferrari car showroom – Riyadh Branch, ensuring a high level of protection for the building, the displayed vehicles, assets, and equipment, in addition to protecting staff, customers, and visitors. The project includes executing all necessary works, starting from the site survey and technical study and preparing and approving the drawings, through supplying and installing the suppression and alarm systems and their components, executing the piping, connectivity, and programming works, and ending with testing, commissioning, and final handover.

1. Technical Site Survey & Study
- Surveying the entire showroom building and its associated areas.
- Studying the available architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
- Identifying risks and protection zones.
- Determining areas requiring special protection.
- Determining the locations of suppression equipment and alarm devices.
- Studying the routing of the fire suppression pipe network.
- Studying the routing of the alarm system cabling.
- Preparing and approving Shop Drawings before execution.
2. Fire Alarm System
Includes supplying, installing, programming, and testing the fire alarm system, comprising per the approved design:
- Fire Alarm Control Panel.
- Smoke Detectors and Heat Detectors per each area’s nature.
- Manual Call Points.
- Sounders / Horns and Strobe Lights.
- Input / Output Modules and required monitoring and control units.
- Emergency batteries and fire alarm system cabling.
- Numbering and identifying all devices and points, and integrating the system with other systems per design requirements.
3. Fire Suppression System
Includes supplying and installing the fire suppression system per each area’s risk nature and classification, comprising per the design:
- Fire suppression pipe network, valves, and gate valves.
- Zone Control Valves and Check Valves as needed.
- Test & Drain Assemblies, Tamper Switches, and Pressure Gauges.
- Supports, hangers, and all fittings, flanges, and accessories.
4. Fire Hose Cabinets & Reels
- Fire Hose Cabinets and Fire Hose Reels.
- Landing Valves, Fire Hose, and Fire Nozzles.
- Siamese Connection as needed, and all accessories required for operation.
5. Fire Pumps
Where a pump system is within the project scope, the work includes:
- Main Electric Fire Pump, Main Diesel Fire Pump as needed, and Jockey Pump.
- Fire Pump Control Panel and check valves.
- Pressure Gauges and Pressure Switches.
- Connecting to the fire suppression network and testing pump performance to confirm required pressure and flow.
6. Fire Water Tank
Where a fire water tank is within the design, the work includes:
- Supplying and installing the fire water tank and executing suction and discharge lines.
- Installing valves, connections, filling, and drain lines.
- Connecting the tank to the pump system and testing the tank and connections.
7. Fire Extinguishers & Special Suppression Systems
- Supplying and installing ABC dry powder extinguishers and CO₂ extinguishers for electrical/electronic areas as needed.
- Extinguisher stands and mounts, placed at the designated and approved locations.
- Studying areas with special equipment or risks (electrical rooms, server/data rooms, communication rooms, maintenance areas, or flammable-material areas if present) and selecting the appropriate suppression system for each.
8. Installation Works
- Executing the fire suppression pipe network and installing supports, hangers, valves, and gate valves.
- Installing fire hose cabinets, extinguishers, and fire pumps and control panels where present.
- Installing alarm system devices and running alarm cabling.
- Executing integration works between systems and numbering cables, devices, and valves, coordinated with civil, electrical, and mechanical works.
9. Programming & Integration
- Programming the fire alarm panel and defining all devices and points.
- Dividing the system into zones per the design and preparing the Cause & Effect Matrix.
- Programming fire scenarios and integrating the alarm system with related systems as needed.
- Setting up users and permissions and testing all alarm and control signals.
10. Testing & Commissioning
Comprehensive testing is carried out for all system components, including:
- Testing smoke and heat detectors, manual call points, sounders, and strobe lights.
- Testing the control panel, batteries, backup power source, and all zones.
- Testing suppression network pressure, leaks, and water flow.
- Testing fire pumps and fire hose cabinets/reels where present.
- Addressing technical observations and final commissioning of the system.
